With the 2009-10 basketball season over, we can look back on a year that had some ups
and downs for each of the teams, but saw some great basketball being played. Our girls
junior high team had a very strong season, and finished with an impressive 13-5 record.

The girls junior varsity, who had some struggles throughout the season, made a strong
showing in the state tournament, when they advanced to the state finals. They were the
only team representing the Grizzlies in the state championship games. They played a
great game against the Traverse City Bulldogs. It was a high intensity game, which stayed
tight the whole way. But Traverse City made a strong run in the last 2 minutes, and they
were able to hold off the Grizzlies and get the win. Despite the loss, congrats go out to the
JV, who finished the season strong, and ended as the girls junior varsity state runner up!
